Gold Coast Theme Parks 

Gold Coast holidays are not complete without a visit to one of the award-winning Gold Coast theme parks. Whatever the age there is a show to entertain and amuse.

The most cost effective way to visit the parks is to pre-book one of the passes shown on this page. If you plan to visit all of the parks, then the hire of a Gold Coast car might be a good option, especially for family groups where there will be considerable outlay for park transfer costs.

Dreamworld is Australia's favourite family theme park, jam packed with the wildest rides in the country, Bengal tiger displays, waterslides, entertainers plus shows and attractions for all ages.

WhiteWater World is located adjacent to Dreamworld and provides visitors state of the art water rides and aquatic thrills.

Seaworld is Australia's number one marine park, with entertainment ranging from Cartoon Beach to triple loop roller coasters. Fantastic dolphin shows and polar bear displays make this a wonderful outing for the whole family.

Warner Bros. Movie World is a whole world of entertainment. From thrill rides to the colourful rides in Looney Tunes Village, the fun of the Grand Parade to the antics of the Police Academy Stunt Show … something for everyone.

Wet "N" Wild Water World provides year round aquatic fun with mega slides not seen anywhere else in Australia. Ride the Terror Canyon and test your speed on the Super 8 Aqua Racer. Lie back and relax in the Wave Pool for a Dive-In movie. 

A must for any Gold Coast holiday is a visit to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Set on 27 hectares of landscaped grounds, this National Trust favourite allows visitors to feed the wild lorikeets, see traditional Aboriginal dancing, feed kangaroos, cuddle a koala and appreciate the many displays throughout the sanctuary.

Ripley's Believe It Or Not! provides a world of fun and adventure with magic, mystery, exhibits and illusions.

Gold Coast Tours & Cruises

There are tours and attractions for every age. Appreciate the wonderful variety of the Gold Coast waterways. Blue Water Cruises provide a choice of luncheon, dinner and party cruises of the local waterways and islands.  Tall Ship Sailing Cruises offer a traditional sailing experience with a choice of a 2 hour calm water cruise to Sanctuary Cove or a whole day cruise to Couran Cove on North Stradbroke Island. Rivers Cruises offer dinner cruises and whale watching tours. Tweed Endeavour Cruises offers a choice of rainforest cruises, crab catching plus river and lake cruises. 

Aquabus Safaris provide a tour of the Gold Coast plus a canal cruise in their amphibious aquabus. True Blue Fishing Charters and BK's Fishing Charters offer great fishing trips to the best Gold Coast angling locations. The Gold Coast has several excellent diving locations and Kirra Dive Tours can offer dive excellent locations on wrecks, caves and tropical reefs.

Paradise Country is the Gold Coast's country connection, offering interactive tours, hay rides, farm shows, sheep shearing plus lots of rural displays.  Get above it all with Hot Air Ballooning and appreciate the spectacular coast from the air.  4WD Hinterland Tours offer hinterland tours off the beaten track. 

Take the whole family to visit Tropical Fruit World and enjoy the world's largest variety of tropical fruits. Experience an exclusive range of natural products and mouth watering tropical fruits. And to further temp your taste buds, Superbee Honeyworld will introduce you to the amazing range of unique Australian honey flavours and premium bee products.

Gold Coast Action & Adventure

Oceanrafters will take you wave jumping at 50 knots across the Gold Coast waterways, or maybe paraflying above the clear blue Cold Coast waters would be a holiday highlight? Choose a scenic or adventure flight in a Tiger Moth or a helicopter to appreciate the Gold Coast from the air. Why not learn to surf as part of your Gold Coast holiday? 

For a different type of action, there is always Jupiters Casino with its two floors of gaming tables and machines, live stage performances in the showrooms and themed restaurants. 

World Class Gold Coast Golf

The Gold Coast is a golfer's heaven and a wonderful opportunity to play some of the the great Gold Coast golf courses. Premier resort and links courses dot the Gold Coast from north to south. Signature courses designed by names such as  Nicklaus, Palmer, Norman, Thompson and Graham are dotted across much of the Gold Coast landscape. The opportunity to play these fantastic courses is one that no serious golfer should miss! 

The variety of golf is quite exceptional, ranging from 5 star resort courses that have hosted some of the biggest names in the game, through to uniquely Australian country courses where the local wildlife will probably be sharing the fairways.  

Gold Coast Shopping

Pacific Fair, located alongside Broadbeach, is a shopping complex covering 17 hectares. There are 7 major stores including Myer Department over 270 specialty retailers and a vast array of bars, restaurants, cafes and the Food Court. 

Harbour Town is a discount outlet shopping centre located at the northern end of the Golf Coast in the Southport Broadwater area. There are discount stores and factory outlets selling quality brand names direct to the public. It also boasts the Gold Coast’s largest and modern Cinemaplex with Readings 14 Screen Cinema, great restaurants, cafes, supermarket, medical and support services. 

Australia Fair is situated in the heart of the Gold Coast overlooking Southport Broadwater. It offers over 220 specialty stores with major outlets including Coles, Woolworths, Kmart, Best & Less as well as Birch Carroll & Coyle cinemas. 

Runaway Bay shopping centre is situated on the northern end of the Broadwater area, providing relaxed shopping with Big W, Target, Best & Less and over 110 speciality stores. 

Marina Mirage is located on Seaworld Drive, Broadwater Spit. It houses a range of exclusive speciality shops and waterfront restaurants and is open 7 days. 

Sanctuary Cove's Waterfront Marine Village is adjacent to the marina and is a wonderful shopping village with fashion boutiques, hand-made gift stores, art galleries, an antique store and service outlets. Relax and enjoy a meal in any of the Marine Village restaurants – choose from casual cafes, a la carte or the International Marketplace and Food Hall with it’s ethnic eateries and fresh produce.

Gold Coast Markets are a great way to spend some time whether you’re just browsing, looking for a bargain or want to soak up the atmosphere. Carrara market is the original and biggest market on the Gold Coast.

Gold Coast Restaurants

Good food is never far away on the Gold Coast. Whether its food to go or fine dining, the choices will be many and varied.  Tempt your palate with a range of international cuisine. Select from fine five-star dining or al fresco cafes and eateries offering Italian, Chinese, French, Thai, Indian, Malaysian, German and Middle Eastern cuisines. 

Formal restaurants, sidewalk cafes, courtyard bistros, ocean front surf clubs or take-aways on a beachfront esplanade... the choice is yours.
